Job Description Summary

Implement and maintain assembly processes,Create, maintain, and control assembly process documentation.Implement engineering changes and communicate those changes to appropriate personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Implement and maintain assembly process such as pressing operations, fastner installation and torque control, and leak testing.
  • Create, maintain, and control assembly process documentation.
  • Implement and maintain functional test stands used to test assembled products. The test stands utilize hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems to verify correct assembly
  • Implement engineering changes and communicate those changes to appropriate personnel.
  • Engage in problem solving activities, implement corrective actions, and effectively communicate those actions to all required personnel.
  • Interact with various departments to develop an understanding of all products manufactured by Hydro-Gear and overall business operations.
  • Assit with on-going operator training activities.
  • Work concurrently with design engineers during implementation of new products to aid with design for manufacturability.
  • Assit with various activities and projects as directed by the manufacturing engineering manager.

Education And/Or Experience:

BA/BS degree from a 4 year college or university PLC Programming Experience Industrial Controls Experience : Wonderware, SQL Database, Robotics and Vision Systems

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of manager, clients, customers, and general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to apply advance mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Physical Demands:

While performing the functions of the job, individuals are frequently required to sit, stand, walk, communicate, and use hands to finger, handle or feel. Employees may be required to lift up to 10 pounds unassisted 1/3 of the time.

Work Environment:

Individuals may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in this environment is moderate. Hearing protection may be required in various work areas. Appropriate PPE is required in various work areas.
